Market acceptance has resulted in M4™ Braceboard becoming the leading bracing concept used by builders and designers. Offering much more than convenience, M4™ is lightweight, uniform in density, offers equal strength to plywood and is free from knots, irregularities and splinters. Add ‘Environmentally Friendly’ to the equation, and you have a high performance, quality Australian made product.

Masonite Underlay:

Underlay is an environmentally friendly product utilizing what has been previously regarded as waste material in an ecologically sustainable manner. This waste material, consisting of sawmill residue and forest thinnings, uses only naturally occurring wood glues (lignins) to bond fibres, eliminating the need for synthetic glues and resins. In natural timber, the wood fibres are aligned parallel with the grain of the timber. In Masonite™ Underlay, the wood fibres are rearranged and distributed at random producing a high quality hardboard panel.

Used over strip timber, particleboard, plywood and concrete floors to provide a flat, uniform, indent resistant base for resilient sheet floor coverings Masonite™ Underlay is a timber-based product that complies to AS:1884-1985 Floor Coverings – Resilient Sheet and Tiles – Laying and Maintenance Practices. These include flexible and semi-rigid PVC, cork, rubber, linoleum, cushioned vinyl and may also be used beneath textile floor coverings. Masonite™ Underlay is less likely to retain indentations caused by point loads from things such as table legs, chairs, chairs, stools, book cases and high heel shoes. Only a small price to pay when you consider the cost of replacing your floor covering.

Tempered Masonite:

Tempered MR, the wood fibres are rearranged and distributed at random producing a high quality hardboard panel. These panels offer uniform strength, superior performance, and indent resistance ideal for stage flooring, excessive traffic applications, door skins, concrete formboards and workbench surfacing.

We recommend our Tempered MR 5.5mm thickness for stage and excessive traffic flooring applications. Whilst Tempered MR retains the smooth face surface and fine wire screen back of other Hardboard products, it is characterised by its distinctive dark face surface appearance. The smooth surface quality provides an excellent base for paint finishing with most industrial and domestic coatings.

Masonite Pegboard:

Pegboard is a perforated hardboard panel used extensively in the domestic, retail and Shopfitting industries. Originally designed for use as a storage solution, Pegboard is a highly adaptable product and is fully supported with a wide range of system-driven hooks and shelving accessories. Safe to cut and machine, Pegboard is highly durable, has a smooth surface, commercially applied matt white undercoat and offers acoustic benefits. Australian made from sawmill residue and forest thinnings, Pegboard is environmentally friendly high quality hardboard panel.

Common applications for Masonite™ Pegboard are: Display panels for the merchandising of goods, Storage panels for office, factories, garden and tool sheds, Organizer for children’s toys and kitchen utilities.
